Information about Christian Science Class Instruction course:
Christian Science Primary Class Instruction is a 12-day course in prayer-based healing, consisting of 12 x 4-hour lessons.
The purpose is to teach pupils how to practice Christian Science healing for themselves and others – to train and prepare Christian Science practitioners.
Class Instruction is a doorway to spiritual growth and learning. It’s an opportunity that’s available to those wishing to help others through their prayers.
The class size is small to allow for interactive questions and answers. In addition to lesson time, there is daily study, revision, and assignments.
The Class syllabus, is the 24 ‘Questions and Answers’ in the chapter Recapitulation in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
Every authorised teacher of Christian Science Class Instruction, teaches the same course using the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as their textbooks. However, each teacher brings their individual experience as a Christian Science practitioner to their teaching.
Recapitulation was the class book on spiritual healing of the author, Mary Baker Eddy – an outstanding Christian healer, and the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. Class topics include: how an understanding of God heals; how to give healing prayer in Christian Science.
Beverly was a young teenager when her mother and grandmother first heard about, and were healed, in Christian Science. These women soon took Christian Science Class Instruction. So impressed was she with how this learning was benefiting them, that at eighteen she herself took Class. What she learned in the class changed her life, and lit a desire in her to help others through the practice of Christian Science healing. Seven years later she began her fledgling public practice which is now her life-time professional vocation. This healing work led her in 1991, to become a teacher of Christian Science and to conduct Class Instruction.
